- We are a not for profit organisation – all proceeds raised are used for the benefit of the members and selected charities.
- Classes, Workshops & Demonstrations are held at various locations.
- Exhibitions, Competitions & Awards for member participation.
- Sale Venues are provided a minimum of twice-yearly to allow members to sell their work with the FDAA taking 20% commission on sales to defray costs.
- Bi-Monthly Meetings – with interesting guest speakers or painting workshops.
- Conventions – a live-in convention is held every second year at differing locations. Classes cover all levels of expertise.
- Newsletters are published quarterly. Members are encouraged to submit articles of general interest and paid advertising space is available.
- Teachers - the FDAA endeavours to supply the names of teachers for areas where they are requested.
- The FDAA has a recognised Teachers Accreditation Programme.
- Promotions & Publicity – every opportunity is used to promote Folk and Decorative Art by means of exhibitions, arts and craft fairs, media, etc.
- Volunteers – the FDAA functions through the efforts of member volunteers.
- Social opportunities – friendship, laughter and fun in a supportive & creative atmosphere.
