The FDAA has regular Exhibitions and Sales where our members demonstrate our art to the general public. These demonstrations give rise to hand-painted cards, bookmarks, ornaments, teddy bears which are sold. All proceeds are donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
Together with Expertise Events, we raised money in Sydney, Gold Coast & Melbourne at CraftExpo (formerly CraftFest) 2009. This was achieved through collection of donations by general public who painted on a huge canvas – 2.5 metres high by 9 metres long. Three separate Paint By Numbers canvases were completed making each city’s contribution unique. These canvases will also be donated to the Humour Foundation with the purpose of fund raising or decorating a children's rehabilitation or hospital unit in each of the states. Special thanks goes to the Decorative Folk Artists of Queensland Inc. and The Society of Folk & Decorative Artists Victoria Inc. who worked with FDAA members to ensure the events were successful.
